Dear Sirs: My father was a chief aviation metalsmith on the USS Belleau wood. He often spoke of his time on the ship and many of his shipmates. I recently came to know one of his shipmates as a patient and we sat and spoke for over an hour. I found and shared my fathers letters of comondation and memorabilia that I found in the safe. As it turned out this individual new my father personnally. I unfortunately never had the privelige of serving my country however, my brother Perry E, Kent Jr. served in the active naval reserves for 9 years. God bless all who served on this vessel and God bless America.
Respectfully yours,
Warren L. Kent
