I am the daughter of Patrick D. Maloney, Fire controlman first class, not sure of his exact service dates but I know he was on the ship in 1945. He was from Arkansas originally, but lived after the war in Wisconsin. He passed away in 1999 but just curious if anyone knew him and would share stories.

You were all heros, thanks for the hell you endured and the better world you helped create.
