My Grt. Uncle Glenn W. Houston was an original crew member on the USS Belleau Wood. He passed away this past Friday October 23, 2009 and was an active member of this Association. I would really like to hear from any of his shipmates to document any stories they would like to share and that I can pass on to niece & nephew.

My father was always proud to speak of Uncle Glenn's service. I have much respect for all veterans and the history they hold close to their hearts. I'm honored and humbled to have known Uncle Glenn and even more humbled and in awe to learn the history of the U.S.S. Belleau Wood.
