I'm starting to build CVL-24 in large scale, 1:72, and she'll be long near 10 ft.
Therefore, can anyone help me about AG-24 ? I need all details , pics, profiles and informations how the Hellcats and Avengers were painted, particullary squadron markings , serials, plane numbers, etc....
It's important part of my future model, because I've planed to build entire group on deck.
Any help about this, and all other detaisls of the ship ( elevators, hangar pics....)is very appreciate.

Perhaps, the following information can help Mario in his reconstruction of CVL-24 in large scale. Let him know that he should contact the U.S. Naval Historical Center, Operational Archives Branch (two Microfilm rolls of USS Belleau Wood --NRS/01143-NRS-1980-85,1946) for information regarding AG-24. These records can be sent to his local library or university. These records contain the official daily log of personnel and after-action reports, including photos of aircraft used by AG-24 during the period May, 1943 to June, 1944. Because he lives in Croatia, he may have to contact others, perhaps the library at the American Embassy. Contact the U.S. Naval Historical Center for further info.
