Hello -- I am writing a book about North Dakota military heroes, which will include Robert Kennard, skipper of VT-21. He receive a Navy Cross for actions 19 and 25, 1944, Leyte Gulf.

I am unable to find Kennard's family members, which limits my ability to talk about what he was like as "a guy." I invite any memories you might want to share, so I can round out his story.
