My father is Lindberg Holden (Lindy) 85 years. We had the pleasure of meeting both your husband and grandfather. I just remember how wonderful your husband was with him. I will try to look thru my pictures to see if I have any of the reunion. Dad put them somewhere. Thank you for updating us on your Grandfather.

Just trying to get the word out to fellow shipmates that my grandfather, Atlee Fonda Clapp, has passed away. He was 90 and served as a naval aviator, he was in 1941 to 1968. He attended the Belleau Wood reunion in Branson about 3 years ago with my husband. He was suffering mildly from alzheimers then, and we knew that would be his last chance to visit. I do not know who else to get word to. If anyone has any memories of Atlee or stories I would love to hear them and pass them out to his great grandchildren.
