Subject: aircraft crash details From: Brandon Quinn

Sorry my info is so limited right now. But I would like to know if anyone knows where I can find information about flight logs of missions launched from this ship. My landlord, an 86 year-old WWII vet, lost his brother during the war. All I know is he was a young enlisted man, last name Broome or Broom, that may have been a gunner on some aircraft. He died in a crash on an unidentified island in the Pacific. His remains (and the craft) were never recovered. He was listed as missing for a few months and then reclassified as KIA. A few people told my landlord (during the war) that they saw the plane crash. I want to try and at least locate the crash site to give Raeford (my landlord) some closure befor he passes away, which unfortunately may happen pretty soon. If there are any survivors from the ship, especially pilots or aircrew personnel, I would appreciate any info., no matter how small, that would aid me in my search. There were rumors that the natives of the island found the wreckage. I'm sure some of those natives may very well be alive and if somehow I can just locate which island it is I may be able to find something out. Thank you in advance for your help.
