Does anyone know how many times the U.S.S.Belleau Wood crossed the equator and the dates and locations. I am trying to get a Shellback certificate for my father in law Elmer Eugene Howard,he served on the Belleau Wood from 1943-46. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
