Hi Ron. A friend of mine fwd this to me. It very neat. Thank you.
"Our father, Albert Rozensky passed away on Oct 15, 2009. He was living in Gainesville, FL. He was preceded in death my our mom, Abigail Rozensky in June 2005. Albie and Abbie were parents of three children, Ron, Neil and Lauren; grandparents of four, Sarah, Jordyn, Jeremy and Fanissa; and great grandparetns of Annaruth Rozensky Alcorn. Always connected to the Belleau Wood, our dad had the photo of the ship and its crew hanging in his rec room or study including in his livingroom in his last apartment in Gainesville. When he discovered the Association of Shipmates via the internet he planned to attend the last reunion but his health kept him from doing so. I have a copy of his 1940 Bluejacket's Manual always kept on his bookshelf. It contains,in the side cover, from 23 December 1942 Jacksonville FL, through each station, ship and duty, a step by step account until Hunters Point in April 1946. Including Entewetok Atoll and then Tokyo Bay 13 October 1945. Like so many, his stories of service often included the jokes and lighter side but he never missed a chance to speak about his pride and service. He was a great dad, granddad, and very proud great grandfather. So, from the family of Aviation Ordanceman First, Al Rozensky, "fair winds and following sea.""
